Introduction: Aldosterone (Aldo) decreases the rate of repolarization in rabbit cardiomyocytes and significantly increases the duration of the monophasic action potential in patients with supraventricular arrhythmias, few minutes after its intravenous administration, implying for a non-genomic action.
